Topping Off Ceremony Celebrates Completion of First Phase of Construction

To celebrate completion of the first phase of the construction a ceremonial topping off, where the final beam is placed atop the new structure, was held at the construction site on February 12. The new building complex will support the performances and rehearsal activities of the BSO’s prestigious summer music academy, the Tanglewood Music Center, and serve as the home of the new Tanglewood Learning Institute.

January Construction Update

January brought great progress in completing the structural steel, with work to enclose the structures soon to begin.

Tanglewood Horticulture Challenge Exceeds Goal

Thanks to the very enthusiastic response from a total of 104 matching gifts, and a second contribution from the challenge donor, the BSO has closed out this generous matching gift challenge with contributions totaling $2.45 million, which can now be invested in Tanglewood’s horticultural future.
